THE PRESIDENT AND SEEMF BOARD MEMBERS – APPEALING TO ESTABLISH “SEEMF SOLIDARITY FUND” IN SUPPORT OF DOCTORS AND HEALTH WORKERS IN SOUTHEASTERN EUROPE IN THE FIGHT WITH COVID 19

At this critical moment in which the world faces the challenges of the invisible enemy COVID 19, the Southeast European Medical Forum invites its members from Southeastern Europe and all philanthropists around the world – businesses, organizations, foundations, investors, pharmaceutical corporations, media and people, national health and international funds to join with donations in a joint international campaign of WHO and Global Citizen to assist in the provision of medical supplies – hygienic masks, protective clothing, disinfectants, medicines and more for hospitals and medical personnel on the territory of the member countries of the organization.

The campaign is open to anyone who would like to help and be involved in supporting the noble efforts of Southeast European doctors and healthcare professionals in the fight against the pandemic – COVID 19.  President- Assoc. prof. Andrey Kehayov and SEEMF Board members from 20 countries- Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Northern Macedonia, Israel, Slovenia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Czech Republic, Moldova, Montenegro, Ukraine, Uzbekistan will participate with personal donations to the initiative.

Donations made will be collected under the  “SEEMF Solidarity Fund” designated by SEEMF using the following bank accounts:

The donated funds will ensure the supply of medical supplies to the healthcare facilities on the first line in the battle with the pandemic in the territory of the member countries of the organization. Daily on the organization’s website – www.seemfcongress.com will publish information about the donors, the funds raised, and their distribution among the members of the organization, as each party participates in the donation campaign.

We are launching the initiative today with a personal donation from the President of the SEEMF – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andrey Kehayov in the amount of 5,000 / five thousand / BGN.

We invite Bulgarian media and citizens – ministers, members of the parliament, lawyers, doctors and all others, national medical organizations and institutions, as well as those from SEEMF’s country members, World and European organizations to participate in the campaign.

May we all become part of “ONE WORLD – TOGETHER AT HOME” in support of the fight against COVID 19, open our hearts and be better!
