The conference was organized by Southeast European Medical Forum in cooperation with Medical Cluster Association and Health Regions Cluster Association, under the auspices and assistance of the Bulgarian Red Cross and personally under the patronage of the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Bulgaria – Mr. Kiril Ananiev.The conference was attended by experts in the field of health, medical and SPA tourism from 15 countries, including Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Turkey, Germany, Russia, Republic of Vietnam, Latvia, Belarus, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan.  The participation of multifold national and international institutions made the Conference one extremely meaningful event in the period of Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council. During the conference different balneological, SPA and medical products and services were presented. The participants  discussed and exchanged experience on issues related to current trends, good, sustainable and innovative practices, strategies for improving quality and access to the delivery of integrated medical and health tourism services on the European market, in accordance with the European standards. Official guests of the event were Dr. Dragan Bogdanic – Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Ivan Madzharov – Chairmen of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Dr. Peteris Apinis – e.c. of World Medical Journal, Prof. Pavel Poredos – President of Slovenian Medical Academy, Prof. Gia Lobzanidze – President of  Georgian Medical Association, – Dr. Aizhan Sadikova- President of Kazakhstan Medical Association, Prof. Sinisa Milkovic – President of the Association of Doctors of Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria, Municipality of Varna and Medical University of Varna. During the two days sessions more than 20 reports on the conditions for recreation, medical and health tourism in Bulgaria and Eastern Europe, physical modalities and contemporary rehabilitation methods for wellness, balneotherapy treatment opportunities were presented. Parallel with the Conference an open meeting of Southeast European Mecial Forum Board Meeting was held during which the President of SEEMF – Assoc. Prof. Andrey Kehayov presented an information on the SEEMF’s activities after the Eighth International Medical Congress in Athence, Greece, the participation of SEEMF’s members in “2018 CMA Annual Scientific Meeting & The 2nd Pak-China Medical Congress & Belt and Road Forum of Medical Associations”, in Beijing, China, in the Annual EFMA Meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, ect. Prof. Sinisa Milkovic – President of the Medical Association of Doctors of Republic of Srpska and Prof. A.Kehayov – reported on the organizational activities for the forthcoming Ninth International Medical Congress of SEEMF, 6th – 9th September 2018, Teslic, Banja Vrucica, Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mrs. Vesela Kehayova – International relations for SEEMF – presented a detailed information on the participation of SEEMF’s members in the WMA’s 209th  Council Session in Riga, Latvia and on the numerous publications of SEEMF’s activities on the newly renovated internet site of the organization, in newspapers and journals. Dr Ivan Madzharov – Chairmen of the Bulgarian Medical Association was elected as Board member of the organization.
