The event gathers the international elite in the field of healthcare from the 4th to the 8th of September in Budva, Montenegro
Leading medical specialists and over 40 speakers will participate at the Thirteenth International Medical Congress of the Southeast European Medical Forum (SEMF), which will be held in the city of Budva, Montenegro, 4th – 8th September, 2024. The congress is organized by SEEMF in cooperation with the Montenegrin Medical Chamber. World-renowned speakers, representatives from the USA, Israel, Slovenia, Belgium, Mongolia, Georgia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and others will be part of the forum.
Representatives from numerous medical associations from Southeast Europe, doctors and public figures, prominent representatives of academic circles, heads of medical institutions, health managers, non-governmental organizations will attend the congress. The President of the World Medical Association (WMA), the General Secretary of the European Forum of Medical Associations (EFMA), the Minister of Health of Montenegro and official representatives of state and local institutions from Bulgaria and Montenegro, will also be part of the forum.
Prof. Andrey Kehayov – The President of SEEMF, will lead the Bulgarian delegation, among which stand out the names of: Prof. Ivo Petrov – Head of the Cardiology Clinic, Acibadem City Clinic, Prof. Nikolay Tsankov – Tokuda Hospital, who will present a scientific report related to the most new research on the influence of the climate in Antarctica on human skin, Prof. Silvia Tsvetkova-Trichkova – Deputy Rector of Medical University – Plovdiv, Prof. Todor Cherkezov – Executive Director of “Atanas Dafovski” MBAL, Kardzhali, the entire management of the Bulgarian association of healthcare professionals in nursing, headed by the chairman Mrs. Milka Vasileva and others.
The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education accredit the Congress, transforming it into a World university of medical knowledge and practice a proof of its high scientific value. The participants of the event will receive a certificate with worldwide recognition.
The scientific program of the congress is interdisciplinary and covers entire divisions of clinical medicine. The main panels during which the latest theoretical and practical achievements in medicine will be presented are: Surgery /general surgery, cardiac surgery, abdominal surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatric surgery, oncosurgery, laparoscopic surgery, gynecological surgery and others/; Infectious and non-infectious diseases; Endocrinology; Cardiology and invasive cardiology; Women’s Reproductive Health; Dermatology. During the roundtable discussion, participants will discuss issues and present innovative solutions to the contemporary public health challenges, the role and functions of the joint class organizations. The congress will be a platform for the affirmation of medical science and practice as a factor in the international relations and will outline possibilities for participation of medical representatives from South-Eastern Europe in joint projects during the stage of accession of the Western Balkans countries to the European Union.
